The LINK site supports connected community events, activities and spaces. In 2022 we ran a trial intergenerational workshop creating connections between residents from Mater Christi and Stage 1 students from Mary Help of Christians School, Toormina.
The ‘Young at Art’ Project was funded by NSW government through Country Art support program/Arts Mid North Coast,
and guided by Art Educator Jess Miller of The Art Department.
Students and residents met each week to make meaningful connections through creating art using various mediums such as photography, drawing, painting and clay making.
The participants artworks, as well as images of the project documented by Leah Moore Photography, culminated in an exhibition that was run in conjunction with the official opening of The Link space (October 2022).
